thermal capabilities
With a high capacity thermal bending and toughening plant as well as a state-of-the-art sag bending facility, Trend Marine can meet the quality demands for complex curved, toughened and safety glass.
chemical toughening
For the highest quality finish, our chemical toughening capabilities involve submersing glass panels in a 400oC potassium salt bath to create a resilient and durable 'skin'. These panels are then laminated on site to achieve safety rating.

lamination
Using hydrophobic interlayer technology, lamination enables exposed edge installation in marine applications and adds strength. It also offers UV filtering, thermal insulation and printing, switchable and heated options.

insulated glazing
Insulated glazing units are available in multi-pane, curved, framed and bonded configurations and can be integrated into door and window systems, offering optimum heat insulation and sound reduction benefits.

Available in round, oval and rectangle options with black or polished stainless steel internal frames to fit the aesthetic of any boat. With options for vertical or horizontal sliding, fully framed or integrated frameless, and manual or electric operation, we have an opening window solution for any boat. Our pop-and-slide window gives a super sleek flush frameless finish from the exterior.
Stainless steel or aluminium framework is available for a complete windshield solution for your flybridge or boat. Glazing can be flat, or single or double curved, and shaped as required. Balustrade glass can be supplied with or without supporting metal framework, and toughened glass can be supplied as monolithic or laminated options.
Hundreds of different elaborate marine windscreen designs have been produced at Trend Marine over the years, but we are always ready for a new challenge. We work with our customers on bringing their ideas and designs to life.
We can offer flat, or single or double curved solutions. We use lamination for open edge installations and traditional thermally tempered options. Our sag bending bi-curvature technology provides for much larger solutions.
Our range includes fully framed windscreens, with or without the metal work, or 'hidden' framed windscreens that give a frameless appearance. Frames are available in aluminium or in polished 316 stainless steel.
blue sky thinking
Maximising natural light and sunshine is vital for the feeling of luxury on board any boat. Our sliding glass sunroofs allow the sunshine to flood into the boat and are simple to build into boat structures. We offer larger custom designed power-driven sunroof systems up to 3.5 x 2m.
The moving panel framework is made in-house from carbon fibre composite, enabling a low profile, lightweight and stiff construction. This can then be fully glazed, have inset window panels, or finished as a solid panel. The carbon can be gel-coated to match the superstructure or can be clear-lacquered bringing attention to the detail of the carbon fibres.
The panel runs on precision stainless steel cars running on hard anodised tracks. A variety of drive systems are available capable of supporting roofs up to 150kg, comprising stainless steel chain drives in each rail or a central stainless steel lead screw. The electronic control enables soft-start, soft-stop, anti-nip torque control and programmable drive speeds, as well as the option for internal lighting in the panel.
Our electrically operated folding canvas sunroof system is custom-designed for individual applications. The folding mechanism stacks the fabric as it opens, maximising the natural light. Available in 12V or 24V versions powering an IP65 rated motor, the system easy to install on boats of any size. The canvas roof is high quality, double skinned and durable in harsh marine environments.
Bridging the opening between the deck and the flybridge, these hatches can be custom made to meet your design requirements. Framed or unframed, with stainless steel or plastic components, and with handles that can be operated from both sides, we have plenty of options to choose from.
